Step aside Wachowski, Farrelly and Coen brothers! There's a new pair in town - the Fineburgh Brothers! And they're not very good! Ahh... low budget movies - a fairground lucky dip. Anus Magillicutty (Henry Lloyd - aka Lloyd Garner) is a womanising, beer drinking layabout. One day an assassin turns up but is rather too easily dispatched by Anus's girlfriend (Paige Abbott). The corpse is put in the trunk (boot) of his car and left for a bit. Eventually he has to dispose of it. He turns up to a dumpster (large bin) and incurs the wrath of some white trash living behind it. He also seems to have a glowing-eyed Satan following him. Eventually he has to turn to his old friend Chee Chee (Joe Hall) for help.
About a third of the film features soft-porn sequences and a performance by some band. These have nothing to do with the plot whatsoever. I feel some favours are being done. The acting is mostly amateur, though Henry Lloyd isn't bad. The camera work and sound is variable but often good. It's shot on video with occasional poor lighting, but the editing is fine and the film is well put-together. You could probably recognise elements from various other films here. The 'looking in the trunk of a car' bit, has been done to death. The dialogue is pretty much improvised and seems to work. In fact it's quite impressive how they managed to get anybody to appear in the film, which reputedly cost a whole $300 to make. The film is unrated and only available on DVD (or bittorrent).
Very much a 'watch-it-twice' film. The first time to be incredulous/disappointed. The second, to take it in. There was a concerted effort to make this the lowest rated film on IMDB and it worked for a while. It's not the worst ever, as it wasn't made with any sincerity. So take a look. Marvel at a woman fellating a banana. Look in awe as Anus's father (Chuck) pays homage to the dancing in underpants scene from Risky Business. Plus girl on girl... Utter rubbish. Cult film at its best. Music by Leeman Garner and Jason Pena.
